The data aquisition side needed a highly scalable data transmission and storage system for 1000+ input updates/second. In addition, objectives were the easy integration of external software components and libraries into finished end-user applications.
I was responsible for the software architecture and the technical leadership in this multi-million dollar, 35+ man year project, planned to be productized in 2006.
